Personal Message:

Within my classroom, I endeavour to create a positive and interactive learning environment, where there are very clear expectations and a partnership where students can explore, understand and achieve their potential. I believe that a child’s ability to learn is affected by the relationship that they have with the teacher and other class members; I therefore focus on developing and maintaining positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.

Professional Experience:

Amanda came to St Therese in 2015 and has had 7 years experience of teaching within the Catholic system. She has held various leadership roles in the areas of Wellbeing, eLearning and Numeracy. She is currently engaging in the Mathematical Expertise and Excellence course.

  • Bachelor of Education (Primary) – Australian Catholic University
  • Mathematical Expertise and Excellence – Sydney Catholic Schools

Professional Interests:

I am passionate about teaching and see it as more than an occupation but a vocation. The motto of our school, “Simplex Caritas” is truly fitting to my philosophy of teaching. I believe in developing a faith community which lives and celebrates the Gospel Values, while providing quality teaching and learning experiences that cater to the students needs’
